About EABS
About Sheffield
Sheffield is a large city of half million inhabitants which lies at the edge
of the beautiful Peak District National Park. It is in the middle of the UK
and enjoys an international reputation as a conference and tourist centre.
Sheffield has a friendliness and community spirit recognised throughout
Britain. It has all the facilities one would expect from a large city
including: theatres; cinemas; classical and pop concert venues; Olympic
standard sporting venues; and one of the largest and most modern shopping
centres in Europe.
The programme includes: studying English language in university-style small classes (our own teachers will work in close liaison with your English language teachers); lectures and seminars on other topics; outdoor activities such as rock climbing or canoeing; visits to other places of interest such Liverpool and York.
We would like to accept 45 students in 1999 aged from 15 to 18. Accommodation will be in a university hall of residence. We estimate the programme will cost 660 pounds per student including all accommodation and trips etc.. Accompanying staff come for free.
